Network Status and Maintenance

Visit the KanREN network status page to find information regarding current network status. Network status will be removed from the "Normal" state when an event occurs involving any shared infrastructure that affects multiple members. Problems with site routers or individual site access circuits will not trigger an event here.

Network Traffic Graphs

KanREN currently maintains a network monitoring system (NMS), which includes network interface graphs. Various network graphs are publicly available for the use of our members by following the link below.

Changes made to the Zenoss Dashboard will not be retained. The dashboard will revert to the default within 5 minutes. Please contact us if you have trouble finding the graph for your site’s uplink. Site's who wish to view additional graphs not provided and/or who require additional access can contact us to request an individualized login and password.

For access to historical graphs prior to Jan 2011, please follow this link to view data from the Cacti system. Please note, that Cacti is no longer be gathering data. For current usage please use the link above.

KanREN also maintains a graphing system within our primary network management software, and collects flow data, which can be used to produce graphs and tables of specific information for member sites on a request basis. To inquire about flow-data reports, contact KanREN!

Network Information

This section contains specific information about how the KanREN network is constructed and operated, including several diagrams as "snapshots" of the network at several different levels. This information is a must for member site networking staff who wish to understand more about how the KanREN network works.

Member Information

The definitive source of general membership information for existing and prospective members alike. Included are general information, membership applications, acceptable use and network access policies, etc.

Provider Information

This area contains information for service providers doing business, or wishing to do business with KanREN. KanREN works cooperatively with telecommunications providers in Kansas to provide the best possible service at the best possible price for the KanREN membership
