Joining KanREN
- The first thing we recommen sites doing who are interested in becoming members are to talk with either our Executive Director, Cort Buffington or our Assistant Director, Erica McDiffett. As an incredibly unique organization, it is usually best to simply talk with each other to find out if KanREN is the right fit.
- When you're ready to dive in, download the Membership Application. This document is in PDF format, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print.
- Complete the application form. We will be in touch as soon as we receive them to talk about any details.
- Send the document to KanREN either via U.S. Mail or fax:
KanREN, Inc. Attn: New Membership PO Box 442167 Lawrence, KS 66044 785 856 1377 (FAX)
- Be sure to read the Acceptable Use Policy document.
- If your organization is a school, school district, college, university, technical school, library or other educational institution, membership approval is automatic. If your organization is of another type, the KanREN executive committee will review your application and notify you concerning approval.
- Once accepted, we will begin working together to meet your goals, establish connectivity, etc.
- Sit back and relax, your off-enterprise connectivity is in good hands.
Note: Once an application is received and approved, it will take approximately 30 to 60 days for the connection and associated equipment to be installed and configured. A KanREN employee will contact the designated network support person at your site to obtain detailed information for the circuit installers. Please contact service@kanren.net for updated information regarding your install or uprade.
