Network Status and Maintenance

Visit the KanREN network status page to find information regarding current network status. Network status will be removed from the "Normal" state when an event occurs involving any shared infrastructure that affects multiple members. Problems with site routers or individual site access circuits will not trigger an event here.

Network Traffic Graphs

KanREN currently maintains an implementation of the Cacti/RRDtool program suite for members to see interface traffic graphs. The cacti graphs are publicly available here.

KanREN also maintains a graphing system within our primary network management software, and collects flow data, which can be used to produce graphs and tables of specific information for member sites on a request basis. To inquire about flow-data reports, contact KanREN!

Network Information

This section contains specific information about how the KanREN network is constructed and operated, including several diagrams as "snapshots" of the netwrok at several different levels. This information is a must for member site networking staff who wish to understand more about how the KanREN network works.

The definitive source of general membership information for existing and prospective members alike. Included are general information, membership applications, acceptable use and network access policies, etc.
