KanREN provides many services to its members on a cost-recovery basis or at no cost. Take advantage of your KanREN membership and use as many of the available services as you need!
Connected members can rely on KanREN staff to configure their site router and monitor their network connection. Additionally, the membership fee will give your site access to staff support, KanREN video services, member-rate consulting, and other great technical services.

Summary of Member Services
Connected and non-connected members all have access to the many technical and support services KanREN offers to member institutions. Many of these services are offered at no cost. Member institutions are encouraged to take advantage of their KanREN membership and use the services available to them.
Support Services
The KanREN staff are another resource available to members of the consortia and they often act as an extension of the member site staff. Members are encouraged to contact the KanREN staff when planning for future technology trends, when attempting to troubleshoot a difficult problem, or even to just pitch ideas back and forth.
The KanREN Network
The KanREN network provides connected members with an integrated connection to other KanREN members, Kan-ed, Internet2, as well as the commercial Internet. The network is capable of providing advanced network services such as IPv4 Multicast and IPv6 to sites that require these services.
About KanREN Hosted Services
KanREN provides member sites virtual hosting on a Plesk server running at the KanREN NOC. All accounts come with 25GB of storage space that may be used at the site's descretion. Plesk provides a clean interface for member sites to manage their own users and services.

About KanREN Anti-Spam Service
KanREN provides member sites with centralized anti-spam and anti-virus scanning via a Barracuda positioned at the KanREN NOC. Email is scanned by the KanREN system before delivery to your site's email system.

KanREN Video Services
KanREN provides a number of video services including desktop video collaboration servers, a traditional H.323 MCU, and a streaming video server. All of these services are available at no additional cost to KanREN members.
DNS Registration
In addition to the great services offered by the KanREN network consortium, the organization also is the Delegated Manager for four domains within .ks.us. Anyone needing to register sub-domains in the following zones should contact ns at kanren.net.
