Colocation Services

KanREN extends the service of co-locating a server or device at the KanREN NOC for any member organization. This allows member sites to utilize the NOC's 1Gbps direct connection to the KanREN core for high-capacity services such as:

• Streaming media
• Remote backup
• High availability services (such as email scanning)

Colocation Features

KanREN's colocation service offers several highlights, including:

• 24 x 7 x 365 Access to support services
• 24 x 7 x 365 Facility access*
• High capacity link to the KanREN core
• Full IPv4, IPv6, and Mulicast capabilities
• Remote eyes and hands when needed (ie: KanREN staff will perform basic troubleshooting with specialists from your site)
• Low cost Internet access with quick turnaround on upgrades
• Secured facility requiring escorted access
• Usage graphs and reports

* All afterhours access must be scheduled unless an emergency situation.

Please note that the KanREN NOC has somewhat limited space. If your organization would like to colocate a large amount of hardware, please contact the NOC during planning processes to make sure space and power are available.
