Web/Email Hosting
KanREN can provide members virtual hosting on a Plesk server at the NOC. All configured domains are allocated 25GB of storage space that may be used at the site's discretion. Plesk provides a web-based, user-friendly interface for members to manage user accounts and services. Services may include web hosting, online user management, secure SMTP, secure IMAP, secure POP3 service, reporting and statistics. The cost to use the Plesk server is $25/mo per domain. An additional 25 GB is available for $10/mo. All contracts are for 1 year. There are no hidden or account setup fees.

Email Scrubbing
KanREN also offers anti-spam and anti-virus scrubbing with our Barracuda Spam Firewall. Email is scanned by the Barracuda system before delivery to your inbox. Members will enjoy per-user quarantine features. The Barracuda spam firewall scores each email on a scale of 0 to 100 on the likeliness it is spam. At specific thresholds mail can be deleted automatically, while at other thresholds it can be placed into a per-user quarantine. Users receive a quarantine summary email once per day when new mail is quarantined. The summary includes basic information and provides links for the user to administer their quarantine. KanREN's Email scrubbing service is $45/mo per domain.

KanREN provides DNS hosting for members. We can provide primary and/or secondary DNS hosting to member organizations at no charge. In addition KanREN is the Domain Registrar for the cc.ks.us, k12.ks.us, lib.ks.us, and tec.ks.us domains. Contact ns AT kanren.net for more information.Other Services
Network Time Protocol (NTP) and DNS resolution services are available to members who wish to use them. (Note: NTP and DNS resolution services may not be available to devices connected to other networks.)
If you utilize KanREN's DNS resolvers, we recommend you choose the servers located closest to you on the network.
