KanREN’s staff and board of directors have been working hard this year to prepare for our future – with significantly more to report this year than usual! This promises to be one of the most information-packed and forward-looking annual meetings ever. If you want to learn more about KanREN, this is the place to be!
About the FY2020 Annual Meeting:
KanREN’s annual meeting is more than just information. We use the annual meeting as a place for members to vote for:
- Board of Directors members
- Rates and Budget
- Bylaw Changes
- Service Adoption
And our board and staff want to hear from you! If you’d like to place an item on the agenda for discussion or vote, please contact KanREN Board Chair, Sandra Warner (swarner@jccc.edu) or Executive Director Cort Buffington (cort@kanren.net) before March 18, 2020. Online balloting will be available prior to the meeting. Links will be sent to registered voting representatives in early April.
Board of Director Election:
This year we have four board of directors seats up for election, including:
- Community Colleges
- K12
- Library
- At-Large
Are you interested in serving on our board? Would you like to nominate someone to serve?
Please e-mail Cort Buffington (cort@kanren.net) to make a nomination, or simply check the box on the annual meeting registration (nominations must be received prior to March 18, 2020).
Board service is a great way to learn more about KanREN, be involved in our vision and direction and network with other R&E community leaders in the state. The time commitment is minimal; about 4 hours per quarter, with another 3-6 hours for directors who volunteer to serve on one of our standing committees.
